Kindergarten Music App
project overview
The brief was to design and develop a visual toolkit and style guide for a mobile-only music experience. The product would be used within a chain of nursery schools mainly by adults but occasionally by kids so it had to have simple navigation and child-friendly controls. Use of a pastel colour scheme would aid in navigation and create an inviting learning experience.
The app features a dedicated music player component, customisable playlist creation and the option to shuffle songs.

Using Figma’s variables and styles, I built a design system intended for implementation. Consistent typography, colour, and spacing reduce visual noise
and cognitive load, helping create a calm and welcoming learning environment.
Reusable components, predictable layouts, and clear hierarchy support a smooth, intuitive app experience while enabling efficient iteration without compromising usability or visual coherence.
